Clean Air Everywhere – Because Curaçao needs healthy air!

Foundation “Clean Air Everywhere” tries to persuade the government of Curaçao to act against air pollution in general.

Citizens have the human right to be able to live in a safe environment. At this moment a part of the Island is being poisoned by unlimited air pollution from an unrestricted industry and other causes. The government is responsible to protect it’s citizens from harm and to act against this destructive pollution which is getting worse every year!

Foundation “Clean Air Everywhere” wins court case and forces government to protect people of Curaçao.

On August 26th 2019 the Curaçao court has ruled in favor of foundation “Clean Air Everywhere” and forces the Curaçao government to define modern air quality norms and to guarantee that pollution caused by the refinery does not exceed these limits by September 1st 2020. This is a great win for the foundation, its sponsors and most of all for the people of Curaçao.

On June 1st 2021, the Court of Justice has confirmed the ruling on appeal, forcing the Curaçao government to enforce environmental laws for air quality.
